Forex Trading Questions Answered

Answers on how currency markets work, what moves them and how to start trading forex with FighterPulse.

What is forex trading?

Forex trading is the buying and selling of currencies in pairs, such as EUR/USD, where you take a view on one currency against another. It’s the largest financial market in the world, with the Bank for International Settlements reporting average turnover of $9.6 trillion a day in April 2025.

Interest rates are the biggest driver, because higher rates can attract money into a currency. Inflation data, jobs figures, growth numbers and central-bank guidance all feed into rate expectations, which is why a single release can move a pair sharply when it surprises the market.

A currency heatmap shows the major currencies measured against each other in one grid, so you can see which is strongest or weakest overall. If the dollar is up against every other major, the move is about the dollar, which helps you decide where to start.
Forex trades 24 hours a day, five days a week, as activity moves between the Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York sessions. Trading is usually busiest when London and New York overlap, and the hours for each pair on FighterPulse are listed on the Trading Conditions page.
You can open a FighterPulse account for free and fund it once you’re verified, using any of the payment methods available in your country. Minimum deposits vary by account level, and you can compare them on the Account Types page before you commit.
